A RUNNERS BLOG - #3 John Fennekohl Apr 22, 2007

I finally won a Woodbury Relays watch. It took four years of trying, but who’s counting. Things have gone extremely well since I last updated. Our two relays (4x8, DMR) won both races at Bridgeton relays, and we did the same yesterday at the Woodbury Relays. I’ve always wanted a Woodbury watch since my freshman days, but something always goes wrong. Seems like every year, someone is sick or injured, and we wind up losing. This year, we finally fielded a healthy relay team, and were able to come away with one.

So it Begins¦...I ran my first hard effort of the 2007 outdoor season this past Friday. I traveled to Williamsburg, Virginia to run the 3k in the Colonial Relays, being held at The College of William and Mary. For the most part, it was a collegiate meet, with the exception of a few high school events. I wound up running 9:03.18, and finished 8th. I was pleased with the race, and how I ran, it’s definitely a step in the right direction. I figured I’d give a short day to day summary of the trip.\"\"
