Cheserek Scares NR @ Stanner

He has run the 2 Mile distance faster...8:42.66, but that was in March 2011 at the New Balance Indoor Nationals versus one of the greatest high school distance runners of all time. Today, in mid January, at the Malloy Stanner Games, Edward Cheserek ran 8:42.16, going through the first mile in 4:27.  Yesterday, Star Ledger track writer, Jim Lambert revealed Cheserek's upcoming racing plans, which consists of  todays 2 Mile race, the  One Mile Run at the New Balance Games on the 21st and insted of the HS Mile at "Millrose" the Open 5000 Meters, a race that will be headlined by none other by Bernard Lagat. That is one ambitious string of race. If today's result is an indicator, Edward is up to the task.
