Jasmine Jackson of Winslow won a great duel between two of the top sophomores in U.S. history when she outleaned Nia Armstrong of Sickles High in Tampa to win the girls' 100-meter hurdles at the Brooks PR Invitational on Sunday at Renton Memorial Stadium in Renton, Washington.
Jackson, who has put together one of the greastest seasons we've ever seen over the barriers, ran 13.33 to edge Armstrong, who second in 13.34.
Jackson just missed her personal best of 13.28 that she ran to finish first at the NJ Meet of Champions on Wednesday, which places her U.S. No. 3 on the all-time wind legal list for a sophomore, and is No. 3 in the nation this season.
