
Several New Jersey high school athletes posted personal bests at meets during the week of May 4.
Nasir Snead (St. Joseph Reg., Montvale) ran 11.10 in the 100 meters at the Gene Littler Bergen County Championships on May 8, improving from his previous best of 12.09 set in April 2026. The junior finished 12th of 140 competitors.
Lyla Briggs (Triton Regional, Runnemede) clocked 2:17.05 in the 800 meters at Haddonfield Distance Night on May 4, dropping from her previous mark of 2:30.27. The junior placed third of 184 runners.
Gemma Mandrik (Manalapan, Englishtown) ran 5:16.39 in the 1600 meters at the Monmouth County Championships on May 6, improving from 5:41.59. The junior finished 14th of 69 competitors.
Rothmiller-McInto (Winslow Township, Atco) jumped 22-4.5 in the long jump at the Camden County Championships on May 9, bettering his previous best of 19-9.25 from May 2026. He placed second of 34.
Nathan Sell (Ridge, Basking Ridge) ran 9:53.15 in the 3200 meters at the BOYS Skyland Conference Frosh/Soph Championship on May 7, improving from 11:41.00 set in October 2024. The sophomore finished fourth of 17 runners.
Alaya Steinberg (Mainland Regional, Linwood) ran 15.47 in the 100 hurdles at the Atlantic County Championships on May 4, dropping from her previous time of 16.73 set in April 2026. The sophomore placed second of 24 competitors.
Alexa Morreale (Trinity Hall, Tinton Falls) ran 11:32.14 in the 3200 meters at the Monmouth County Championships on May 6, improving from 12:10.32 set in April 2026. The freshman finished sixth of 27 runners. Morreale also set a personal best of 5:19.84 in the 1600 meters at the same meet, improving from 5:25.90.
