Keep an eye out for these sophomores as they hit the track and compete in the field this spring! Sophomore leaderboards from this past indoor season, as well as returning times and marks from the 2025 spring season.
This class is absolutely stocked with elite talent, and just to name a few:
The defending outdoor NJSIAA Meet of Champions 3200m champ, Leah Starkey of Ocean Township, won a cross country Meet of Champions title this past fall. And after she unfortunately missed most of the indoor season, she made an epic return at Nike Indoor Nationals, winning the 2-mile championship at 9:10.18.
Jasmine Jackson of Winslow Township leads all New Jersey returners in the 100-meter hurdles with a 13.73 (+0.8) from her second-place run in the freshmen division at New Balance Nationals Outdoor. She was second in the 60-meter hurdles at New Balance Nationals this past winter, running 8.20, and won the NJSIAA Meet of Champions in the 55-meter hurdles with a PR of 7.63. She was undefeated against New Jersey athletes in the hurdles all indoor season.
Daphne Georgiades of Ridge HS is a talented multi-event athlete who should continue to impress this outdoor season. She was third at the Meet of Champions in the 400-meter hurdles last spring and has a PR of 60.96. In the sand pit, she brings outdoor PRs of 38-01.5 in the triple jump and 18-7.25 in the long jump, leading all sophomores. She also clocked a 400-meter best of 55.67 this winter.
