Two of the most impressive streaks in state history continued on Sunday when the Winslow girls and Deptford boys rolled to victory in dominating fashion at the NJSIAA Group 3 Relays at the Bennett Center in Toms River.
EAGLES SOAR TO 8TH STRAIGHT TITLE
The Winslow girls captured their eighth consecutive state relay title and 10th overall by outscoring runner-up Ocean City, 58-30.
With 10 state relays titles, Winslow is now tied for the 4th most in state history for a girls program. Haddonfield, Willingboro, and Union Catholic are all tied for first with 11. The 8 titles in a row
by Winslow is No. 3 all-time for a girls' team. Union Catholic has won 11 in a row and Hopewell Valley is second with nine straight championships.
As usual, triple winners Jasmin Jackson and Cinniya Robinson were the catalysts for Winslow.
Winslow, who scored in 7 of the 9 events, dropped a US No. 1 time of 31.03 to win the shuttle hurdles, 4:12.64 to finish first in the sprint medley, and the Eagles blasted a 1:43.83 to capture the 4x200.
The rest of Winslow's points came from runner-up finishes in the 4x400, high jump and 4x800, and from a fourth-place finish in the pole vault.

BROWN AND HOLMES FUEL DEPTFORD TO 5TH TITLE IN A ROW
Triple winners Xavion Holmes and Kareem Brown ignited the attack for the Depftord boys, propelling the Spartans to their 5th straight state relay title and sixth overall (all in the past 7 years) with a convincing 54-34 victory over runner-up Winslow.
Only two other boys programs in state history have had longer winnng streaks than Deptford - CBA, who has has a current streak of 11 in a row and also had streaks of 8 and 7, and Asbury Park, which had a streak of 8 in a row.
Deptford scored 42 points on the track!
Holmes and Brown led the Spartans to victories in the shuttle hurdles with a NJ No. 1 time of 30.13, the 4x200 (1:32.54), the 4x400 (3:31.40).
Deptford also won the pole vault with state leader Mason Henry (14-6) and Dominic DiPietro (11-6) combining on the victory. Henry, a senior, is the only vaulter over 15-0 this season. The Spartans also picked up a runner-up finish in the SMR in 3:40.27, a fourth in the 4x800, and a fifth-place in the high jump.
