The NJSIAA Meet of Champions that was originally scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed until Thursday, June 15, due to the strong possibility of lightning and severe weather conditions, NJSIAA Track and Field Tournament Director Al Stumpf announced on Wednesday morning.
The meet will remain at 2 p.m. at Franklin High School with the same schedule.
"After much though and consideration and consultation with various weather experts, the NJSIAA has made the best decision for the safety of all involved to avoid any chance of being in a situation where lightning is involved, so the meet has been moved to Thursday,'' said Stumpf.

The meet is scheduled to take place on June 15th at 2:00pm at Franklin HS in Somerset, NJ.
