Holy smokes!!!!
Freshman phenom Sianni Wynn of Pennsauken put her name alongside two of NJ's all-time greats when she torched the track with an epic performance at the NJSIAA South Jersey, Group 4 Sectional Championships on Friday in Pennsauken.
Wynn, who won the 55 and 200-meter dashes at the Indoor Meet of Champions in March, began a remarkable sprint sprint triple by winning the 100-meter dash on Friday with a NJ No. 4 time of 11.90.
It gets better!!!
Wynn returned to the track Saturday morning and dropped the 15th fastest 400 time in state history and third fastest time ever by a NJ freshman when she stopped the clock at 54.01!!!! That's the fourth fastest time for a freshman in the nation this season.
Ready for this?
The only two NJ freshmen who ever run faster in the 400 than Wynn are Olympic gold medalists Sydney McLaughlin of Union Catholic (53.78 in 2014) and English Gardner of Eastern (54.00 in 2007).
Talk about some fast company!!!
Then on Saturday afternoon she completed the sprint triple by winning the 200 in 24.58, which is for NJ No. 4!
