Livestreams of the Week on NJ MileSplit - Week 5


NJ MileSplit will be streaming three meets this week! We are hitting the ground running to start off a championship and showcase packed month of May.

Keep an eye out as more dates are released all throughout Championship season. We will also be streaming the NJSIAA Group Championships and Meet of Champions this spring. 


Holmdel Twilight Series - Night of 3200s

Wednesday, May 3rd - 5:25pm Start

The long running twilight meet at Bob Roggy Memorial Stadium kicks off it's three meet series Wednesday night with the Night of 3200s!

The girls side of the entries are highlighted by an all-star cast including: Cate DeSousa of Red Bank Catholic, Tilly O'Connor of St. Rose, Lindsay Hausman of Kent Place School, Emma Zawatski of Freehold Twp, Courtney Kaiser, Angelina George, Rosemary Shay, and many more! Multiple state champions in this group!

Cate DeSousa of Red Bank Catholic is the top seed with a written time 10:10 and the defending winner from the 2022 meet. The University of Virginia bound senior holds an indoor 3200m PR of 10:16.20 from their NJSIAA Meet of Champions victory last March and recorded their outdoor PR of 10:25.54 during this same meet last May. 

On the boys side Ayush Saran of West Windsor Plainsboro South seeded at 9:10, Brenden McMahon of Ridge HS 9:17 are at the top of the seeding chart heading in. CBA teammate's Alex Kemp nj, Conor Clifford, Jack Falkowski, and Kevin Allen, as well as Westfield's Daniel Cortese, Hun's Eric Scully, and Marlboro's Dan Torrillo are all listed with seeds of 9:25 or below from there.

Ayush Saran had a breakout cross country season in the fall finishing fourth in Group 4 and 18th at the Meet of Champions. He continued to roll indoors running a 1600m PR of 4:17.12 for third in Group 4 and then earned 11th at the Meet of Champs. Saran's best 3200m indoors or out came during the winter season of 2022 when he clocked a 9:17.05. 


SJTCA Elite T&F Meet

Thursday, May 4th - 5pm Start

NJ MileSplit will be heading to Delsea Regional HS for the SJTCA Elite T&F Meet which broke onto the schedule in 2022 with a massive amount of highlight performances. This meet really looks to break the calendar out of relay season post-Penn Relays with some high quality individual times and marks.

The entire meet is pre-seeded and you can check out what heats you'll be in through the MileSplit LIVE platform courtesy of Tomahawk Timing. 

Sianni Wynn of Pennsauken, the breakout freshman sprints star, is entered into the 100m and 200m dash with seeds of 11.87 and 24.48. On the boys side another Wynn is amongst the best in the state for the sprints as well, Premiere Wynn will be taking on the 200m, seeded 21.75, and the 400m, 47.86, and is the top seed of the meet in both.

We'll be seeing Cherokee distance star Patrick Ditmars take the track in the 800m seeded tightly with his teammate Conor Jacob at 1:55.01 and 1:55.93. The boys 1600m is firing up led by the likes of George Andrus, 4:10.97, and Peyton Shute, 4:14.89, going head to head with amongst a deep field. Patterson, Boyko, Bolling, among some of the other big names there. 

Abigail Waddington, Michaela Schlemo, and Kerry O'Day the top contenders for the girls 1600m. 

Byrce Tucker of Pennsauken, the current state leader in the 400m hurdles clocking 52.18 this season, is entered to the 110H and 400H.

The field events are stacked with the likes of Sophia Curtis, Alanna Wookfolk, and Ciara Demarest as well. Again, check out the full heat sheets and entries through MileSplit LIVE.

The meet starts at 5pm with the field events, we'll see which events are within viewable range of the livestream setup and have them on screen for the first hour. Then at 6pm the track events begin and will be the focus on the livestream. 

Weather permitting we'll have cameras recording at select field events for uploading.

Ocean County Relay Championships

Friday, May 5th - 4pm Start

Toms River North showed plenty of relay strength on the track during last weekend's Penn Relays and now head to compete for the Ocean County Relay Championship. Southern Regional, Jackson Liberty, and more all looking to make some noise at this local title battle.

Southern swept the 2022 titles across the boys and girls squads!  

The stream will focus on the track starting around 4pm ET but we'll see about recording footage of select field events for uploading as well once we're setting up on site.

While not livestreams we'll also have on-site coverage from Monmouth County Relays, Union County Relays, and other potential meets.
