Julia Jackson of Scotch Plains-Fanwood moved up to No.  7 on New Jersey's all-time list in the 400-meter run when she burned a 53.12 to finish first in in the driving rain at the Princeton Elite Invitational on Saturday at Weaver Stadium.

Arianna Sharpe of Clayton finished fifth in 55.60.

Jackson, competing unattached, finished ahead of several college runners as she climbed up to No. 2 in the nation this season behind the 53.06 run by Zaya Akins of Raytown South High School in Missouri. Results of Jackson's race are here.
