NJ Rocks The Relays At The Millrose Games

It was all New Jersey in the high school relays as the Garden State blew up the track on the way to sweeping the four races with red hot times at the prestigious 114th Millrose Games on Saturday at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York.

The Rancocas Valley girls and Seton Hall Prep boys won the 4x400-meter Suburban Division relays, and the Ridge boys and Union Catholic girls captured the 4x800m relays. And all four teams burned NJ No. 1 times in the process! How awesome is that!!!

Rancocas Valley got the NJ relay party started by capturing the girls Suburban Division title in a US No. 15 3:58.75 as the Red Devils became the first NJ team to crack 4:00 this season. It's the first Millrose title ever for RV, wo came into the race with a season best time of 4:01.

The splits for RV 60.92 for Sanai Jenkins, 59.47 for Anabella Chin, 60.22 for Jya Marshall, and then Kasey White blasted a 58.15 to bring RV across the line first.

Seton Hall Prep was next up on the track, and the Pirates lowered their NJ No. 1 time down to a US No. 1 3:24.06, which is US No. 1 to win the boys Suburban Division 4x400. It's the first time win at Millrose for Seton Hall Prep since 2007 when Patrick Blackie anchored the 4x400 to a thrilling victory over Old Bridge, and it's the third 4x400 victory overall at Millrose for SHP.

Seton Hall's splits were 51.4 for Ryan Matulonis, 52.55 for Russ Webb, 50.20 for Nick DeVita, and 50.29 for Xavier Donaldson.
