Boys Meet Recap: Cresskill won a thriller over Kinnelon, 60.50-60 to capture its first title since 2018 and its sixth overall, and Rashawn Markman of Waldwick exploded for a sensational triple.

Cresskill, which picked up its lone victory from the 4x100 squad, which crossed first in 47.57, used a very balanced attack to come away with the hard-fought victory. One of its biggest catalysts was junior Oliver Urena, who placed second in the high jump (6-0), fifth in the LJ, and fifth in the TJ).

Markman was the star of tis meet.

The senior, who had a PR of 11.24 in the 100 coming into the meet, ran 11.03 in the 100 trials on Friday, and then made a huge breakthrough in the final by blasting a NJ#3 10.69 to finish first. He also smashed the NJ. Sec. 1 Group 1 record in the long jump by soaring 22-11.75, and won the triple jump with a 45-5. Markman is ranked No. 4 in the state in the lJ with a 23-8.50.

Girls Meet Recap: Hasbrouck Heights, led by juniors Amber Barrios and Megan Napolitano, won its third title in four years and iys seventh overall with a 108-94 victory over Mountain Lakes.

Barrios won the 400 hurdles, ran on the winning 4x400, and was third in the 400, and placed second in the 800 to account for 34 points for Hasbrouck Heights. Napolitano won the pole vault and was second in the 110 hurdles for Hasbrouck Heights, which received contributions from several athletes en route to the championship.

Mountain Lakes was led by double winners Grace Wills (800 and 1600), and Kendall Palazzi (200 and 400).
