Van Cortlandt Park - It's likely that on the weekend of the Manhattan College Invitational that that is where the NJRunners Athletes of the Week are going to come from. This week was no different. On the boys side it was no surprise as Joe Rosa (WWPN) was selected for the 2nd consecutive week and third time this season. Rosa broke his 3rd course record of the year this time taking down the time of 12:06.7 held by Solomon Haile whose eligibility has been questioned for some time. Rosa's official time of 12:03.8 will go down as one of the best performances @ Manhattan and this time there is no question of eligibility because he's no where near graduation, he has another year to go.
Joelle Amaral (Randolph), this week's girls AOW was selected for her outstanding performance down the legendary 2.5mile course. Amaral was the only Garden State runner to go under 15:00 clocking 14:58 a personal best for her coming out of the Eastern States Championship race.
