We've combined the races from Saturday's Season Opener Invitational into one big meet merge.
On the girls side Angelina Perez opened up her season with an impressive 17:58 for second all-time on the Garret Mountain course only behind Abby Loveys' 17:41 course record from the 2018 Sectional races. Her meet leading performance was just the start of an enormous team effort by Lakeland Regional to average 20:29 to win their race with a low 18 points as well as lead the overall merge scoring 35. Three of Lakeland's girls cracked the top five for the meet overall with Perez out front, Abigail Horevay fourth fastest on the day at 19:32 and Caitlin Fahy fifth fastest with 20:20. They went 1-2-3 in the Pod 3 Varsity race. Faith Norrell and Reaghan Lomascola making the rest of their scoring five.
