For fun let's take a look at the teams that hold on to their high rankings by the strength of their depth. All the rankings you see here will utilize the data from the huge Shore Coaches Invitational.
Below we have a few rankings to compare. First we have a ranking set that removes the #1 scorer for each team to see who's bottom six can carry their way to the top. To go even further we remove the top seven finishers at the Shore Coaches and see how their JV squads perform in the rankings, and finally for comparison we have the full merge to see where teams rose up or fell to.
These rankings are purely stats based from this year's meet, we know some squads didn't run their top varsity. For example Christian Brothers Academy ranked 23rd among varsity squads without their top runners competing. Some may even already be competing without their #1.
