Sabeh Soars To NJ#4 and School Record in TJ at Morris Meet

RESULTS | Triple Jump Rankings

A slick runway with rain falling on a damp day aren't the kind of conditions that usually produce great results.

But those elements didn't faze Hanover Park's Hikmat Sabeh one bit as the senior hopped, skipped and jumped his way to the greatest triple jump performance in Hanover Park history, and one of the best in the state this season on the opening day of action at the Morris County Championships on Tuesday in Boonton.

Sabeh, a senior, destroyed his personal best by nearly five feet when he soared 46-7 to finish first, shattering his school record by two feet, and moving all the way up the state rankings to NJ#4.

Not bad for a guy who finished 24th in the TJ at the county meet last year, and came into the meet with personal best of 41-10 1/2, which came in April of 2018 at the Dodgertown Relays.

Sabeh will be back in action on Wednesday at the county meet when he competes in the long jump.
