What an exciting finish in the boys race! Justin Cornetta and Ajay Sarathy were neck and neck all the way to the line for first and second, both were recorded at 15:52. Cornetta ran 20 seconds faster than he did last year at this meet when he placed fourth at 16:12, Sarathy had over 30 seconds of improvement.
This race was jam packed with big names including the likes of William Hill of Franklin in third at 15:59 and Chris Romero of Voorhees fourth at 16:03. Keep going down the list and you'll see some of the top distance runners in the state.
Romero's fourth place finish was big in the team race as three Voorhees boys went top ten leading the way to a 56 point total and team championship. Evan Minor had a career best finish at Skylands in seventh with 16:17, Joseph Capone was 10th at 16:25, Maxwell Page 12th 16:27, and Jacob Dispenza 23rd 16:48 to finish up their scoring five. Overall the Voorhees boys averaged a quick 16:24 and split just 45 seconds number one to five.
North Hunterdon and Montgomery also had a nice battle for second with North Hunterdon edging out Montgomery 91-93. North Hunterdon was led by Ray Sellaro in fourth with a time of 16:09.
