On a rainy Friday evening Lou Mialhe of Princeton HS took on the 2,000 meter steeplechase at the Rowan Girls HS Open. She finished first overall with a time of 7:11.16, revamping her state lead and moving up to US#7 on the season.
She entered the event already ranked NJ#1 with a time of 7:28.54 from The College of New Jersey HS Open back on April 16th.

Second in the race was Julianna Catania of Egg Harbor Twp who ran 7:19.26, she's now NJ#2 US#23 in 2016.
Out of the first heat without the help of the more competitive second heat, Emily Roth of Pinelands Regional worked her way up to third overall at the meet racing all alone. She's now NJ#4 on the season.
Also in this race was the defending champion at the meet, Amanda Bakley of Pennsauken, who has been battling shin problems thus far this season. She finished fourth with a time of 7:56.74 NJ#6.
