State season has finally arrived! We start with the Sectional meets which will decide who advances to the Group level.
The first five teams plus the first ten individual runners in each Group at each Sectional meet will qualify for the State Group Championships. Below I have linked and posted information regarding each Sectional meet. Here are virtual meets using the averages of each athlete's times so far this season and scoring them as a meet.
From the NJSIAA Regulations...
A. Sectional Meets
A trophy and seven (7) medals to the first place team; seven (7) medals to the 2nd through 5th place teams; and
medals to the first ten (10) individual finishers in each Group in each Section. ONLY MEDAL WINNERS (Teams and
individuals) AT THE SECTIONAL LEVEL WILL ADVANCE TO THE STATE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS.
B. State Group Championships
A Trophy and seven (7) medals to the first place team; seven (7) medals to the 2nd and 3rd place teams; and medals to
the first ten (10) individual finishers in each Group.
C. State Championships
A trophy and seven (7) medals to the first place team, seven (7) medals to the 2nd thru 6th place teams; and a trophy to
the individual first place finisher with medals to the 2nd through 20th place individual finishers.
