These young athletes are now a month into their high school running careers and a few have really started to stand out. Stuart Gruters of Bernards won the Two Mile at the quick Battle at Ocean County Park with a time of 10:03 and now leads the two mile and 3200 meter converted rankings. In the straight 3200m rankings Kingsway's Joe Grandizio leads with a winning time from the Cherokee Challenge at 10:25. He was also one of the lucky freshmen to participate in the varsity 5,000 meter and placed 11th at the South Jersey Shootout with a time of 17:05.
