Colin Daly of River Dell HS ran the fastest time of the day at the 19th Annual Roxbury Iinvitational on Saturday. Colin finished first in the Varsity race with a time of 15:54, his teammate William Daly was right behind him in second with a time of 15:55. The fastest girls time for the meet was recorded by Sierra Castaneda of West Morris Central with a time of 18:14, well over 15 seconds faster than the next fastest time. Team wise the scoring for this meet only figures the top four finishers for each team. In the boys varsity division the Toms River North boys ripped a 16:38 team average with a 3-8-11-28 spread for first place! They were led by John Flavin in 6th with a time of 16:13, Christian Bermudez in 11th with 16:28, Justin Farley in 17th wiht 16:41, and Noah Reilly in 36th with a time of 17:10.
For the girls varsity division Summit took home the trophy with a 19:25 average scoring 5-9-11-13 for 38 points. This winning squad was led by Amanda Brodow in 5th with a time of 18:51. Following her was Lauren Diaz in 10th with 19:19, Allison Curley 13th 19:39, and Dahlia Musallam 15th 19:49. The Summit girls just held off Mendham who were two points behind in the standings.
