On his first throw of the meet Curtis Thompson's javelin dug into the earth 222 ft and 8 in away. That would hold fast and claim the role of NJ#1 and US#2 in our rankings this season!! A HUGE personal best for the Florence Twp star, congratulations on a magnificent showing. Thompson's throw verse the rest of the country was only bested by Oregon's John Nizich who posted a mark of 222-9! NJ's Curtis Mirabelli of Holy Cross also had a nice day with a mark of 214-11, he already holds the US#4 position with a 216-6 from the South Jersey Open on May 1st.
