It is early for the individual track and field scene in New Jersey but there are still quality performances being thrown down. Westwood had a handful of athletes bring top state performances to the table.

Corrine Myers of Westwood won the 800m invitational race at the Red Raider Relays with a time of 2:11.75! a NJ#1 and US#14! Myers would also take on the 400m with a 58.89 NJ#3 in the prelims and a second place 59.39 in the finals. Teammate Alesia Passaro ran a season best in the 400m prelims with a NJ#8 time of 61.27 qualifying 5th then finishing 6th in finals.

(For those who saw this article when it was first posted, when I started writing it Myers was US#13 and right after I posted it changed to US#14! So no you aren't losing it.)

The Westwood track girls would come back to win the 4x200m Relay with a time of 1:49.12. (If there are splits out there please send them into rkellert@milesplit.com!)
