At the Essex County Championships last Saturday on the 25th of January the 200m girls race ended in a tie. After taking a look at the photo finish Madelen Soto of University HS and Olivia Baker of Columbia were declared co-champions for the Essex County 200m dash. Each was given a STATE LEADING TIME of 25.25 that also leave them tied for 37th in the US with 5 other athletes. (Must be a popular time in the 200m).
The rankings place them as 1 and 2, so I want to make sure everyone knew that there are two state leaders in the girls indoor 200m, as both seniors deserve the recognition. Great run girls! Good luck at States!
