Second place overall was Dylan Tarpey of Freehold Twp. The Columbia University bound senior ran a 15:32 taking 7 seconds off of his winning time from last weekend at Group IV State Champs. Right behind him was Louis Corgliano of Hammonton HS who ran 15:35! Corgliano ran 15:36 and placed second at Group Championships the previous weekend.
Another great individual performance came from the Toms River South senior Kyle Kroon who posted a 15:37 for 4th place. Steve Maine of Highland Regional ran 15:42 for 5th, Michael Higgins of Don Bosco Prep finished 6th with a 15:42, Craig Corti of Wallkill Valley took 7th with 15:44, Blaise Ferro of CBA finished 15:45 for 8th place, Josiah Hanko had a little bit of trouble today but still managed to finish 9th with a time of 15:46, and to finish the top ten Tom O'Neill of Middletown North with a 15:47. O'Neill won the Meet of Champions last season and despite not pulling the victory out this weekend has looked fantastic all year I am excited to see what he does as we head into regionals and nationals.
