Course  Description Provided by Meet: As White Stadium receives long-awaited renovations, Franklin Park's famous 5K cross country course has adapted with a temporary design. Instead of circling the stadium, the new route bends quickly into open meadows, asking runners to adjust on the fly. The start retains its wide, communal energy, setting the tone for a classic Franklin Park race. Bear Cage Hill, untouched by construction, continues to separate contenders from the pack. Beyond the climb, the course diverts into a shortened Wilderness Loop, offering twisting trails and uneven footing that embody true cross country running. The final mile brings athletes back to the open fields, where a relocated finish line restores the roar of the crowd. Mud, roots, and grit remain constants, even in transition. The interim course proves that Franklin Park's cross country spirit doesn't depend on a stadium - it lives in the hills, fields, and runners themselves.
