Those teams will all also have their eyes out for NJ#2 ranked North Hunterdon in Varsity A. Ridge and North Hunterdon traded wins all last season as they battled right to the state championship. Star junior Ellie Dimarcello leads that squad, she has a Holmdel PR of 18:40 from Groups last year. Varsity A sees North Hunterdon, NJ#4 Randolph, NJ#6 WWPSouth, and NJ#9 South Brunswick battle it out.
There are quite a few individuals looking to make a big splash this weekend. One of those is Randolph's Abby Loveys who has already put down multiple all-time performances at different meets this season. Lovey's has a Holmdel PR of 18:52 from her freshmen year at the Meet of Champions, last year at shore coaches she posted 19:05. The junior leads NJ#4 Randolph out of Varsity A set to battle with the above mentioned North Hunterdon, WWPSouth, and South Brunswick.
New Jersey's Outdoor 3200m Champion Alexa Westley of Warren Hills could also raise stock for her chances at a state title this weekend with a strong run out of Varsity B. She'll have the talented Hebner twins, Monica and Isabel, from Northern Highlands to work with in that race.
Top Returning Times from 2016's Meet - Also keep an eye out for Jade Tricomy of Toms River South who ran 18:39 here as a freshman, she leads all returning times for this event. This could also be a game changer of a weekend for many girls on the rise such as Rachel Kenny of Matawan, Hannah Cella of Hunterdon Central, Chloe Wong of Hillsborough, Chelsea Stocki of East Brunswick, Shelby Piccinic of Colonia, Allison Colflesh of Haddonfield and plenty of others.
