Group 1 Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | Time to shine, Metuchen has shown up as a small school force to be reckoned with so far winning their first ever GMC title and running well elsewhere. It all comes together here as they look to defend their title. Bogota could make that hard to do though.
  • Stranieri | Metuchen is my team pick to win, but I think Bogota could make this closer than people think. If Metuchen slips up at all then Bogota will be poised to take the upset.

Group 2 Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | Voorhees is currently ranked fourth in the state and the favorites to win their second straight title.

Group 3 Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | A real showdown here between NJ#2 Indian Hills and NJ#4 Colts Neck, be ready to count jerseys at the line for this one. Going with Indian Hills still riding high off their huge Bergen County MOCs victory two weekends ago.
  • StranieriA close team battle will take place between Indian Hills and Colts Neck. I've taken Indian Hills, but don't be surprised if Colts Neck takes the win here as they are extremely familiar with Holmdel and could use that to their advantage.

Group 4 Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | Princeton has been gaining momentum all fall and recently set the course average record at their sectional. They are the pick for me here, currently ranked NJ#3 among a log jammed top five in the state.
  • Stranieri | Should be an extremely close team battle between Ridgewood and Princeton. I'm hesitant to even pick a winner, but I'll take Ridgewood.

Non Public A Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | Christian Brothers Academy is a team who bases their success on exactly that.. being a team, keep an eye on their 1-5 split, their pack will be too much to handle for anyone in this race and potentially at MOCs. Currenty NJ#1 in the state.

Non Public B Conversation Notes

  • Stranieri | It will be an extremely close battle Montclair Kimberley and Mater Dei Prep. Either team could win, but I'll take Montclair Kimberley, led by a Bill Massey individual win, to take the team title. This meet could come down to only a couple points between the top two teams.
