5. Just like the Group 4 meet, the Group 3 talent level is something to be in awe of. With only so much room here are some names to keep an eye out for in Group 3.

Alyssa Aldridge (NJ#1 3200 10:41.57), Caroline O'Sullivan (NJ#3 800 2:11.55), and Lauren Sapone (NJ#2 3200, NJ#3 1600) are examples of our top girls distance talent in New Jersey.

On the boys side state leaders such as Kevin Fox (NJ#1 800 1:52.60, who came out of no where!) and Taj Burgess of Carteret (NJ#1 400 47.40) promise to keep you entertained and that doesn't cover half of it!

On top of all that the presence of indoor MOC 3200 meter winner Jordan Brannan (NJ#2 9:10.59) from Colts Neck, and other athletes making major strides such as Pennsauken's relay squads (NJ#2 4x100 42.10 / NJ#3 4x400 3:17.74) just make the Group 3 even more intriguing.

4. Aliyah Taylor of Pemberton has continued her momentum from a successful indoor season. She lead the Group 3 Sectionals merge in the 100 meter at 12.08 (-2.9) and 400 meter at 55.79. She won the indoor 55 meter dash at the Meet of Champions this past February and will be looking to make a splash this outdoors as well.

3. The NJ#1 and NJ#2 ranked pole vaulters in the state meet at Northern Burlington this weekend. Josh Ward of South Plainfield and Jarrod Brovero of Delsea who have both cleared 14-7 battle for Group 3 supremacy. Josh Ward won the indoor Meet of Champions clearing 14-6.

2. Markquese Bell of Bridgeton brings his 7-0 state leading clearance with him to Groups. Bell is the first NJ athlete to clear the 7-0 bar since 2014 when David Njoku of Cedar Grove cleared 7-1 at Group Championships. Bell's jump came at the Cape Atlantic League Championships on May 19th. In the Group 3 sectionals merge he was tied at 6-6 with Andrew Pondiscio of Sparta and Rahshawn Jenkins-Powell of Neptune. All three compete together in one place this weekend.

1. Showdown in the Throws! Jordan West of Rahway and Dan Gilligan of Toms River East, both top ranked throwers in the shot put and discus, will be going head to head this weekend. Jordan led Group 3 in the Sectionals merge with a winning shot put mark of 61-2.25, Gilligan won his section with a 57-6.75.

In the discus at Sectionals Gilligan led the way overall with a 186-7 mark and Jordan West also won his section at 176-4.
