Six Things to Look for at State Relays This Weekend!

Can the Morris Hills Boys break the "The Bubble" venue 4x800 meter record?

All-Time Bennett Indoor Complex 4x800 Meter List

With their run of 7:53.62 at the Hispanic Games this past weekend the Morris Hills boys have taken back the US#1 position in the 4x800 meter relay. They opened the season up with a then US#1 time of 8:06.78 at the Bishop Loughlin Games which was eventually overtaken by other top teams in the country. '

This most recent sub-eight minute time was run on the NY Armory's banked track and exciting aura so they'll have some work to do on the Toms River flat track but lets take a look at the standards they'll chasing if they go for it.

The Bennett Indoor Complex, "The Bubble", record is currently held by Freehold Twp with their 8:03.63 run in 2010 at Monmouth County Relays.

The Group Relays record is even more in sight. The best from all groups is set at 8:04.26 thanks to Notre Dame last year, they went on to run a season best of 7:51.24 later that month finishing NJ#2 in 2015.

The Group 3 State Relays record is held by Morristown who ran 8:05.26 in 2010. Like the Morris Hills boys of 2016, Morristown ran at the 2010 Hispanic Games just before the state relay championships but they ran 8:02.29 at the New York based meet. Seems Morris Hills is ahead of schedule for at least one of these records if they run hard.

Check out their splits from the Hispanic Games.
