The Red Bank Catholic girls have been on a roll for four straight weeks now. This time they took a respectable 6th place in the deep Eastern States race at Manhattan and ranked 1st among NJ teams at the meet.

The last few weeks I started having questions about whether or not the Randolph girls would be able to step up to injuries and the need to post full top five performances.. Well they answered my questions this past weekend at the Greystone Invite where they swept the meet with a perfect score, all the while without Liz Lansing who should be closer to her normal self come states season. Awesome job Randolph!

The Haddonfield girls as a team have been posting great results all season, and that Briana Gess girl is pretty good too. This past weekend at Manhattan Haddonfield had a decent showing placing third in Varsity B and third among NJ teams in the merge. I feel like they can and will be better though as it looks like some of their top five may have had an "off week" at Van Cortlandt. Wish my off weeks went that well.

The Princeton girls were ranked behind Ridgewood last week despite just taking them down in the merge from Shore Coaches. Well this week they get the nod as the girls decisively won the Fall Classic with all of their top five finishing in the top 15 and posting a team average of 20:05 at Thompson Park.

Welcome to the top ten Mendham! You've been on the radar for a while now but after that magnificent performance at the Manhattan Invite you earned a top ten ranking. The Mendham girls actually took down the Haddonfield girls in the NJ Merge with the second best NJ performance of the day on Saturday. Another meet like that on a 5k course against top ten talent and we'll see this squad move up the rankings.

The Shawnee girls were sitting on the edge ranked 10th last week. With teams around the state pumping out talented performances each weekend they needed something to impress with. Well they did it this weekend, it was a close one with Clearview Reg at the SJ Open as it went to extra runners but they got it done for the invitational win.

There are a bunch of teams trying to fit into one door right now for these rankings. Really good teams that only need a weekend's great performance to move into or back into the top ten!
