Boys

Matt Tuohy and the Indian Hills boys did some major work on Friday at the Season Opener Iinvitational! Matt Tuohy had the fastest time of the meet by 16 seconds with a time of 16:02. They won the Varsity Boys Division B with a 1-4 sweep! The stat line with 1-2-3-4-21 for 31 points. The Indian Hills boys posted an impressive team average of 16:46, over a minute faster than second! Matt Tuohy took first with 16:02, Matt Cohane 2nd 16:18, Ryan Kleber 3rd 16:38,  Tom McPhee 4th 16:39, and Garrett Ward 23rd with 18:14! 

In the Boys Varsity A race Brian Gonzalez of Hackensack won the division with a time of 16:32, good for the 3rd best on the day. He led his team to a 39 points victory with a team average of 17:06. Completing their top 5 marksl; Thomas Stearns took 6th at 17:02, Marc Lugo 8th at 17:11, Kevin Avila 10th at 17:13, and Gideon Achirem 21st with 17:31. 

In the Boys Varsity C race Hussein Elmeshad of Leonia HS won with a time of 16:40, nearly 18 seconds faster than second. The team title went to Bogota who scored 31 points with all of their scoring runners in the top 10 and an average of 17:22. They were led by Quinn Geraghty in third with a time of 17:00. 

Girls

The fastest girls time came from Mary Watters of the Academy of the Holy Angels. She posted a 19:28 in the Girls Varsity A division which was 16 seconds faster than the second best overall time ran by Megan Jozefczyk of Clifton at 19:44 in the same race. The Academy of Holy Angels had a magnificent run as a team in fact, scoring 45 points with a 1-4-5-10-25 spread and a team average of 20:41. Also scoring in the top ten from the Holy Angels were Tara Lyons in 5th at 20:06 andRhiannon Novelli in 6th at 20:16. 

The winner of the Varsity B race was Alex Walter of Glen Rock at 20:18, she led her team to a division title as well with 41 points an a 21:39 team average. In Varsity C Tara Satnick of Dwight Englewood took first with a time of 20:10, 36 seconds ahead of second. Whippany Park won this division led by fourth place finisher Chiara Mennonne with a time of 21:02.
