Abigail Dennis showed a remarkable display of heads-up don't quit mentality while recovering from a fall during the Bergen County Championships at Old Tappan HS on Saturday.

Dennis was the top seed for Group B heading into the 100m hurdle preliminaries at 14.40.

During a spill over the second hurdle Dennis kept her momentum and composure to minimize the fall. She then recovered from last to first speeding forward to win the heat in remarkable fashion clocking a 16.85 as the second seed heading into the final.

We don't see official results for the final just yet so we'll have to update when available. The Old Tappan HS sophomore also won the 100m dash with a 12.48.

Dennis is currently ranked NJ No. 2 on the 100m hurdles all-conditions list this season with her 14.40 (NWI) run at Big North Championships.

She's within the New Jersey top 20 for the 100m based off her 12.48 from Bergen County Champs this weekend and is NJ No. 9 for the 200m dash timed at 25.43 when she won at Big North Championships.

As a freshmen in the spring of 2021 she qualified into the Meet of Champions for the 200m where she finished 24th.
