Karcher becomes first boy to win three events in Group 1 in 18 years
One of the biggest stars of the NJSIAA Group Championships this weekend was Ken Karcher of Maple Shade.
Check out what the Monmouth University-bound Karcher did in the Group 1 competition over the two days at Silver Eagle Stadium in Egg Harbor.
On Friday, he won the 400 hurdles in a personal best 55.03 and the 400 in 48.75. Then on Saturday, he finished off a very rare triple by winning the 200 in 22.03.
Karcher is the first boy to win three individual events at the State Group 1 meet since Brad Becker of Spotswood won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 in 1999.
