Villanova's Frances Koons wins the NCAA D1 Mid-Atlantic Region. Princeton's Liz Costello takes 2nd and leads Tigers to 1st place tie and auto-bid. Vince McNally is 6th and Kyle Dawson 8th to lead Penn State to 2nd place and auto bid.

Iona, Syracuse, Plattsburgh, Cortland, NYU, Geneseo, St. Lawrence, and Stonybrook are all heading to nationals in Indiana. Nicole Blood and Lindsey Sherf, former New Yorker's, will also be racing for Oregon.

Kyle Dawson would probably trade exercise-induced anything for the form of exercise-enhanced condition he has known as Rhabdomyolysis. The condition cost him a red-shirt year in the 2007-08 season; not a bad thing as a freshman distance runner. Worse, it nearly cost him a real season of eligibility this cross country season.
