St. Benedict's Prep (Newark) senior Edward Cheserek became the 4th two time Foot Locker National Champion today as he out kicked Virginia's Sean McGorty to win in 14:57.3 at the Foot Locker National Championships at Balboa Park in San Diego Ca. The race, which appeared to come down to a kick and Cheserek prevailed to McGorty's 15:02.7. In the Boys race, Jerser qualifiers Shawn Wilson (Cherokee) and Klye Kroon (Toms River South finished 23rd (15:43.2) and 28th (15:54.6) respectivley. On the Girls side, Megan Curham of Villa Walsh Academy earned All America honors with her 14th (17:55.2) finish. Our other 2 Jerser qualifiers. Marissa Ruskan and Mackenzie Barry came home 18th (18:03.4) and 27th (18:20.8)
