Week 7
Cross Country can be a long season. From July to hopefully December with lots of training and many races. Sometimes, and especially during the county / conference championship portion of the season, the calendar puts 2 meets in the same week in front of you. This is the case with both of this weeks honorees as the came home with double championship wins, over top competition, in a seven day stretch at the same set of meets..

Girls Athlete of the Week: Sarah DiSanza
Team: High Point Reg. HS (Sussex)
Graduation: 2013
This Week: Scored wins at both the NJAC and Hunterdon-Sussex-Warren Championship Meets
Sarah, a NXN individual finalist last year added 2 more notches to her gun last week as she took the measure of some of the top Jerser's while winning the NJAC (Large School) title in 17:49 at Greystone Park on Tuesday. She came back on Saturday to extend her big meet unbeaten streak, breaking the tape as the winners of the H-S-W championship with a time of 18:13 over another stellar field at Deer Path Park

Ariana North (Northern Highlands '13) - Winner of the "A" Division Race in 18:24 at the Bergen Co. Group Championships (Darlington Park)
Boys Athlete of the Week: Craig Corti
Team: Walkill Valley HS (Hamburg)
Graduation: 2015
This Week: Takes the County / Conference Double
The talented soph from Wallkill Valley put two more in the win column as he also claimed the NJAC (Small School) win with a mark of 15:59. Corti led the 4th ranked rangers to the team title. on saturday, he came back and scored the H-S-W victory, running 16:06.
