It's Super Sunday here at the Lavino Fieldhouse, and the Mercer County Chamionships will be getting underway at 9:00am with Field Events. Action on the track begins at 10:15.

Great meet. Congratulations to Joe Mclaughlin (Notre Dame) and all of the Mercer Co. guys for putting on a well organized, seamless event. The Mercer Co. Championships had somethng for most everybody.
Two great High Jump duels with Boys MVP Craig Hunter (Robbinsville) and Hakiem Horon of Trenton both getting to 6-6. Hunter gets his 1st of 2 wins there. Later in the day, Paige Brown of Girls Team Champ West Windsor-Plainsboro So. ntook the Girls HJ over Robbinsville's Noel Jancewicz as both girls cleared 5-4. Hunter wouls come back to Vault a Mercer County Record 15-1
The Boys 55m Hurdles produced a MR by Jermaine Collier, who in addition to this win, also prevailed in the 200m (22.57), took second in the 400m (50.16) and anchored the victorius Trenton Central 4x400m team to a 3:25.58. For his yeoman duty today, Jermaine was voted Most Courageous Athlete of the meet. Quite a days work.
Caroline Kellner contributed 20 points to the Pirates' team effort by winning both distance events. The Cornell bound, Footlocker XC National finalist won the 1600m early in 5:11.85 and then returned to win the 3200m in 11:18.99. For those efforts, Kellner was named MVP among the Girls.

400 Meter - Boys Evan Johnson of Ewing over Jermaine Collier 50.06 to 50.16
200 Meter - Boys Jermaine Collier picks up his 2nd win ogf the day with a 22.57
3200 Meter - Girls Caroline Kellner doubles back to take the title with a time of 11:18.99
3200 Meter - Boys Dan Sheldon ((:39.04) and Dan Riff (9:40.55) give WW-P So. 1-2
4x400 Meter Relay Girls- WW-P No. wins in 4:12.33. Trenton finished 1st but was DQ'd.
High Jump - Boys As mentioned above, Craig Hunter PRs with a 6-6 win
Pole Vault - Boys Craig Hunter (Robbinsville) ties his own PR and sets the County Record @ 15-1
