MOC Redux - Again to Old Bridge

The 2011 NJSIAA Meet of Champions will resume this evening (6pm) at the Old Bridge Track & Field Complex. On the track, things will pick up from the start of the now depleated Seeded Heat of the Boys 3200m Run and continue on to the Girls 3200m races and lastly the 4x400m Relays. In the Field, the events left to decide will continue from the point of the stoppage last Thursday night.

Much has been written and discussed regarding the events that led to the postponement of the meet and the resulting havoc. Sufficed to say it is indeed a unfortunate turn of events, perhaps the most unfortunate in the annals of this storied meet. It is however time to dust ourselves off, finish crowning this years champions and talk about all of the great things that got lost in the thunder and lightning of Thursday night.

NJRunners will be back in Old Bridge, a terrific facility that should get another shot at hosting, to bring you resuls, pictures and more, as we conclude the 2011 Meet of Champions.

With about 10 minutes to go until the restart of the Boys 3200m, it's a much cooler, less humid evening.

Talking to distance ace Jeramy Elkaim a few minutes ago, he stated that in addition to running the 5000 Meters at the New Balance Nationals on Thursday night, he will be running that distance at the USATF Junior Nationals the following week.
