On Sunday August 1, runners of all ages and abilities will gather at Hillsborough HS to remember one of their own. The 3rd Jason 's Run will once again celebrate the short life and accomplishments of Jason Walton, a Hillsborough student/athlete who died July 22, 2008.
The race, which this year will be a full 5k run, was organized to honor Walton's life by a group of teammates and competitors shortly after the star middle distance runner's death. Continuing into it's 3rd year, the event will still be a non-competitive run for all. The 5k run will start and end at the Hillsborough HS track.
The $15 contribution from run registrations will go toi the Jason Walton Scholarship Fund at Hillsborough High. Early registrants will also recieve a commemorative T-shirt. Registration will also be available on the morning of the event until 8:45.
