The NJSIAA State Relays got rolling on Wednesday night with all four team champions keeping their winning streaks alive at the Non-Public Relays at the Bennett Center in Toms River.
In Non-Public A, CBA and the Union Catholic girls extended their amazing winning streaks to 11 straight titles, while the UC boys and Villa Walsh completed a 4-peat in Non-Public B.
CBA FLEXES DEPTH
The Colts spread out their talent across the nine events as 25 different athletes scored to produce a winning total of 78 as CBA rolled to their 11th straight championship. St. Peter's Prep finished second with 50.
On the track, CBA, as usual, swept the distance relays, winning the DMR (10:55.76) and 4x800 (8:22.83), and the Colts added a victory in the shuttle hurdles (31.01). The Colts added a second in the 4x400, a third in the SMR, and a fourth in the 4x200.
In the field, CBA dominated by winning the pole vault, high jump, and high jump.
In the high jump, Gavin Marlin and Ethan McAllister each cleared 6-4, the top two marks of the meet. The duo of Matthew Orio (46-9.25) and Colin Pinguelo (45-6) combined to give CBA the victory in the shot put.

UC GIRLS LEVEL UP
The UC girls blew out the competition in Non-Public A, winning 4 of the 6 races on the track and scoring 24 points in the field on the way to a meet-record tying 80 points as the Vikings ran away with their state record 11th straight title and their 11th overall, which ties Willingboro for the most girls' relay titles in state history.
Oak Knoll, who won the DMR, had a strong meet, placing second with 37.
The 80 points by UC, just 10 away from a perfect score, narrowly missed the meet record of 82 that the Vikings scored in 2019.

In the field, the Vikings won the shot put, placed second in the pole vault, and third in the high jump.
Alyssa Kenol, who unloaded a meet-best 33-4.25, and Alex Landazabal (29-5.50) teamed up to win the shot put, Morgan Holley, the 2025 Indoor and Outdoor Meet of Champions winner in the long jump, cleared a meet best 5-2 for UC in the high jump, Ervnie Jules-Vincent (8-6) and Lorena Fajardo (7-6) combined for a runner-up finish in the pole vault.
