Livingston ruled the day by sweeping both team titles at Sunday's Essex County Relays at the Ocean Breeze Track and Field Facility on Staten Island.
In the boys competition, Livingston burned a pair of red hot times to help the Lancers edge St. Benedict's Prep, 48-47.50.
The biggest highlights for the Lancers came when they blasted school record times of 1:28.59 to win the 4x200 and 3:21.87 to score the victory in the 4x400. Both of those times are NJ No. 2 this season and the 3:21.87 is No. 7 in the nation, and the 1:28.59 is US No. 11 this winter. The 4x200 consisted of Brandon Dong, Chase Wade, Chase Kaufman, and Luke Petryna, and Petryna, Kaufman, Wade teamed up with Corey Leavy on the 4x400.
Livingston, second last year, also picked up big points in the DMR, first in 11:00.91, the shuttle hurdles, third in 32.38, the SMR, fourth in 3:44.00, third in the shot put, and fifth in the 4x800 (8:33.05).
On the girls side, Livingston, third last year, defeated defending champion Montclair, 56-50, to finish on top.
Livingston won the shuttle hurdles in 33.82, finished first in the shot put behind junior Jessica Oji (41.2.25) and her sister, sophomore Nesta (33-1.25), placed second in the 4x400 (4:08.23), second in the high jump, third in the DMR (13:41.96), third in the 4x800 (10:24.60), third in the 4x200 (1:48.23), and fifth in the SMR (4:36.19),
