There were so many merge worthy meets this weekend we made it easy to find them all in one place. The merges are simple comparisons between teams running in multi-division meets, they combine all results of the same distance and rescore.
While this is an interesting and useful tool to help give an idea of where teams match up this does still include variables to keep in mind. Race sizes, strategy, weather changes, and the fact that head to head racing may have led to different placements among athletes are just some of the factors that could make a difference between races held the same day at the same meet.
If more merges are created for this week we will add them below. Note some meets with a large amount of our-of-state teams have multiple versions, an overall and New Jersey only report.
The Haddonfield Memorial (NJ), Pingry School (NJ), and Corning (NY) girls battled it out at Bowdoin and the three teams were only separated by five points in the combined scoring! New Milford (CT) and Mainland Regional (NJ) also ran strong.
Pearl River out of New York played upset on NJ turf averaging 17:36 at Garret Mountain. The top New Jersey team was Morris Hills with an 18:07 team average.
