Monmouth Mile Returns Thursday Night, Info And Coverage

On Thursday night at Mater Dei Prep High School in Middletown, NJ the annual Monmouth Mile will make it's return after a two year hiatus. NJ MileSplit will be on site recording race videos and capturing photos.

The scheduled events range from community heats to high school 3200 meter races and it will all be capped off with the elite sub-4 minute mile field at the end of the night.

For some background this event started in 2018 as the Sub-4 at the Shore which saw Alexander Colby run 3:55.81 leading four athletes under the four minute barrier. Rebranded to the Monmouth Mile in 2019, Eric Holt carried the leading honors at 3:58.88 followed by Rob Napolitano and Tim Gorman in the low 3:59s. That year featured and elite women's field as well led by Megan Mansy at 4:34.05.

Holt returns to defend his Monmouth Mile win this time joined by Vince Ciattei, Ben Allen, Paul Ryan, Jeremy Hernandez, Adam Fogg, Johnathan Reniewicki, Sergio Miranda, Josh Hoey, John Benner, and on pacer duty Hazem Miawad.
