Pre Sectionals Edition
The County/ Conference portion of the XC season continued last week and most of the Boys Top Ten performed as expected, with only minor changes. East Brunswick, which has been in and out of the Top Ten the last few weeks reappears at #10.
There was some upheaval on the Girls side with a change in the #1 spot. Hillsborough was unanimously voted #1. Led by Ashley Smolinka , the Raiders took the measure of 3 other Top Ten teams with a convincing win in the high powered Skylands Conference meet (59pts.) Not bad for a team that has no home course and trains mostly on roads.
The rubber meets the road this weekend as Sectional Championships at 4 sites will determine who will move on to the Group Championships at Holmdel Park on the 14th.
