All New Jersey track and field fans know that the athletes of the week during the week of the annual Shore Coaches Invitational (arguably the North East's biggest early season meet) will very much come from that meet. This week was no different. The two selections were overwhelming. Joe Rosa (WWPN) and Chelsea Ley (Kingsway) dominated their respective races on the wet and muddy Holmdel Park 5k cross county course. Ley finished 58 seconds ahead of any other female on the day, where as Rosa (Joe) had a different, if you will, Saturday in the park. Rosa absolutely oblitterated the legendary CR held by Colts Neck alum and NJ record holder Craig Forys running 15:04 to Forys' 15:15.2.
