If you are a newcomer or need a refresher, here is a course tour of the high school 5K layout at Holmdel Park in Holmdel, NJ. Holmdel Park is the home of the Shore Coaches Invitational, Monmouth County Championships, NJSIAA State Group Championships, and the NJSIAA Meet of Champions.
Terrain: Grass, dirt, rocky areas, groomed pathways, possible roots, occasional wooden steps, keep an eye out for uneven footing if rain has washed out portions of the trail.
Note that this footage is from 2019. The footing of the trail may have changed since then either due to weather through the years or maintenance by the park services, the layout has remained the same however.
At the top left of the screen you'll find the course map with a red dot marking where we are on the course, at the bottom there is a distance bar to show our progress mile to mile. Keep in mind the distance bar, while close, is not exact.
