St. Peter's Prep took over the NJ#1 spot in the 4x100 by burning a 41.65 to win the Non-Public A title. The meet record of 41.45 set by Timber Creek in 2014 is in serious trouble.
The only other team under 42.00 this season is Hamilton North, which ran 41.82 back on April 13 at the Moorestown Invit. East Orange checks in at NJ#3 with a 42.12, followed by Delsea (42.23), Clayton (42.25), and defending champion Deptford (42.27).
West Side became the team to beat in the 4x400 when the Roughriders won the Group 2 title in a NJ#1 3:15.93. That's more than one second faster than any other team in the state. Group 4 winner Elizabeth is NJ#2 at 3:17.03, and then indoor M of C 4x400 winner is NJ#3 at 3:17.70.
Three sub 7:55 teams will collide in a 4x800 that could see multiple teams dip under 7:50.
North Hunterdon (7:52.92), Ridge (7:54.12) and Haddonfield (7:54.46) are the fastest teams in the race and should slug it out for the top spot. East Brunswick (7:56.00), Pope John (7:57.63), Morris Hills (7:58.09), Bergen Catholic (7:58.77) and South Brunswick (7:58.92) are capable of big drops.
