The decision was announced Thursday afternoon on his Instagram. Heslop also visited Rutgers, Ohio State, Tennessee, LSU and Florida.
Heslop is coming off an indoor season that saw him secure a New Balance Nationals Indoor victory in the 200m dash with a US No. 4 all-time performance of 20.90. He was also an All-American in the 60m dash, finishing third with a 6.73 in finals performance. He ran 6.70 in the prelims.
Along with a great number of New Jersey state championship titles, the Franklin senior holds some fantastic PRs. He has outdoor career bests of 10.44 in the 100m dash (NWI), 20.97 in the 200m (NWI), and 46.73 in the 400m. Indoors he has clocked the New Jersey state record in the 200m with his 20.90 and 300m at 33.26, is tied for the state record in the 55m dash at 6.26, and has run a 48.71 over 400m.
