Sydney Hawkins wins the 200m running NJ#1 25.50.
On Wednesday at the Robert J Burdette Indoor Classic in Bethlehem, PA some New Jersey stars lit up the track and found success in the field. Two teams from the Garden State were in attendance, Phillipsburg and Delaware Valley HS.
Star sprinter Sydney Hawkins won the 60m dash with a 7.70, as seen in the race video above, this was off a 7.78 to lead prelims. Her 7.70 in the 60m final converts to a 7.18 for the 55m dash an event she already ranks NJ#1 thanks to her 7.14 back on December 15th to open the season.
She wasn't done there however as she also found gold in the one lap 200m dash where she posted 25.50. That is a new NJ#1 US#17 performance so far this season and an indoor PR for her, she had a previous best of 26.22 from this same meet a year ago. Hawkins' outdoor PR over 200m is 23.91.

Sydney Hawkins wins the 60m dash finals, 7.70.
Hawkins wasn't the only Phillipsburg athlete to find success as her teammate Ashley Griesmeyer also won gold in the 60m hurdles running 9.77 in finals. You can watch that race below.
In the girls pole vault Chloe VanDuyne of Delaware Valley HS cleared a height of 10-00 for fourth overall. She matched her PR in the event and now ranks tied for NJ#10 for the vault this season. Phillipsburg's Kathryn Burke finished 6th at 9-06.
For the boys of Phillipsburg the best performance came from... Nasir Clemmons sixth at 5-08 in the high jump, Jacob Daniels 9.23 in the 60H prelims and finished sixth in finals, Declan Harkness third in the 3000m running 9:33.95.
Ashley Grismeyer wins the 60m hurdles running 9.77.
